Quick results for CMS tonight, Joel Field in the Street Stocks, Matt Pickard grabbing the win in the Late Models, Kevin Rohn Jr, in the Flinn Stocks, Don Rohn made it three for three so far in the 2013 season in the Pro Stock division, Nate Jones took the Pro Truck division and AJ Ward went home with the win in the IMCA Modified division. Take a look at our new photo gallery. With the advent of high quality home printers we are 'licensing' the digital rights to photos. There are limitations of course. Lee has spent a TON of time,tagging each photo as well. Using the search feature, you will be able to type in a name and pull up all the photos of that particular driver. Of course, this takes lots of TIME! We will soon be offering the same option at the track. I have to see what memory sticks our photo booth computer uses and we can load your stick up at the track. Maybe not THIS week but hopefully by next.

For those that missed it, wander over to the replay of TONIGHTS ACTION and set the DVR function to about 20:00 into the opening races. Andrew James goes for a ride that no driver wants to take but he walked away from it. James was tapped from behind to get him started and nearly scales the turn one fencing. Scary stuff!

This weekend at Crystal Motor Speedway is the first of our "Yes 2 Kids Night" that also celebrates the Janet Zeilger Memorial Night. Janet was a long time fan and worker at CMS. Starting at 6PM, kids can ride with their favorite participating driver. Once the racing events get rolling, all six divisions will be racing. Pit gates open at 4PM and the main gates open at 5PM. Adult admission is $10 and kids 5-11 are $5. Pit passes are $25. Further information can be obtained by calling the track office at 989.235.5200 or dropping me an email.

A quick note: We are using the Westhold transponder system so whatever transponder you might find has to be compatible. I am told the AMB transponders won't be compliant. If you have questions, call the office at 989.235.5200.

For those that intend to have minors entering the pits, here is the minor release form to have pre-filled out. PLEASE NOTE! "Legal" people say you need to do one of two things. Fill it out and have it notorized or fill it out but don't sign it until you are at the track so track officials can countersign it. Other forms will be posted here shortly.

We get lots of requests for help from numerous groups and while not trying to set a precedent for doing this all the time, we realize we are part of a huge community. This is on behalf of the Relay For Life Team from Belding, MI representing Ionia County. They are looking for donations to be silent auctioned at a Benefit Dinner we are putting together here in Belding at the local American Legion on April 28th. What Is An Image License?

Simply put, it's a way to keep all of us happy.

For years my photographers and I have struggled to educate our customers about US and International copyright laws. There are a large number of photographic print buyers that believe a couple of dollars paid to buy the print gives them the absolute right to scan that image and use it however they want. They take their scan to the local Walmart to make copies. They put the image on their web site without giving a photographers credit, even claiming the copyrights and their own. And a few (you KNOW who you are) have even offered bootleg copies for sale to others. To paraphrase an old commercial, "Got Brass?"
