The Flinn Stocks have the night off. Adult admission is $12 and kids 5-11 are $5. Pit passes are $25. The track has plenty of space for camping on the west side of the main parking lot. There is no charge but campers can donate to help cover the licenses and fees. Further information can be obtained by calling the track office at 989.235.5200

As some of you know, Engine Pro has its "Pay Dirt" program. Click on the info about five paragraphs below for details but very few have signed up. Here is a list of those who lost cash by not being a member of this program. Engine Pro gives away money EVERY WEEK and you don't have to win the race to get it. They have a "Lucky Dog" option so ANYONE can win... but you have to be signed up.... soooo.... why not sign up?

Last week: LM FW - MATT PICKARD LOST $150
LM LD - SCOTT BAKER LOST $75
MOD FW - AJ WARD LOST $150
MOD LD - JOHN DEYOUNG JR. LOST $75
SS FW - JOEL FIELDS LOST $150
SS LD - JASON WILEY LOST $75

Take a look at our new photo gallery. With the advent of high quality home printers we are 'licensing' the digital rights to photos. There are limitations of course. Lee has spent a TON of time, tagging each photo as well. Using the search feature, you will be able to type in a name and pull up all the photos of that particular driver. Of course, this takes lots of TIME! We will soon be offering the same option at the track. I have to see what memory sticks our photo booth computer uses and we can load your stick up at the track. Maybe not THIS week but hopefully by next.

Special thanks to our long time partners,Engine Pro and ARP for their continued support in bringing you live coverage of the race night events. If you haven't filled out your "Pay Dirt" application from Engine Pro, now is a good time to do so! CLICK HERE for info!

A quick note: We are using the Westhold transponder system so whatever transponder you might find has to be compatible. I am told the AMB transponders won't be compliant. If you have questions, call the office at 989.235.5200.

For those that intend to have minors entering the pits, here is the minor release form to have pre-filled out. PLEASE NOTE! "Legal" people say you need to do one of two things. Fill it out and have it notorized or fill it out but don't sign it until you are at the track so track officials can countersign it. Other forms will be posted here shortly.

For those who are bored, you can watch vintage racing at CMS (1993 to 2000) over on the front page of ROTW.

Click on the link to get the 2013 schedule for 2013!  I also hope to post several downloadable documents for drivers profile, Pit Pass documents for those under 16, and several other items.

I have new rules posted for IMCA, Pro Stocks, and Street Stocks. You can see them by visiting the RULES page

You can use our exclusive DVR option to see all of the live action or see the replay immediately after the race by visiting this page and then using the slider bar to jump around by visiting this LINK

What Is An Image License?

Simply put, it's a way to keep all of us happy.

For years my photographers and I have struggled to educate our customers about US and International copyright laws. There are a large number of photographic print buyers that believe a couple of dollars paid to buy the print gives them the absolute right to scan that image and use it however they want. They take their scan to the local Walmart to make copies. They put the image on their web site without giving a photographers credit, even claiming the copyrights and their own. And a few (you KNOW who you are) have even offered bootleg copies for sale to others. To paraphrase an old commercial, "Got Brass?"

September 3, 2011 Highlights

Crystal, MI - It took a little bit of work but the ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Engine Pro had one heck of a feature event as they invaded the Crystal Clay for the final time on Saturday. Downtown Davey Brown would start near the front and never look back. Tight track conditions made for some very tight racing but it was great racing action. After having problems in his heat race, and racing his way through the B main Portland, MI native Dustin Daggett started 17th on the field and right from the drop of the green flag stared working his way through the field eventually finishing 5th. But it was all Davey Brown as he was able to navigate lap traffic and pick up the checkered flag. Heat races went to Steve Irwin, Andy Tunessen, Davey Brown, and Jared Horstman. Daggett was victorious in the B-main.

Champions Are Crowned and a Championship Personality Is Remembered

Crystal, MI - After a few weeks off Crystal Motor Speedway was back in action on Saturday for its season championship as well as the Smoke Shop Dave Memorial race. 118 cars checked into the pits to do battle on the 3/8ths mile oval and not one of them disappointed. A little extra money was on the line for the Smokers Club street stocks as a number of people from the racing community came together to sponsor laps for the street stocks, a class near and dear to the heart of both Dave and Kim.
