A little extra money was on the line for the Smokers Club street stocks as a number of people from the racing community came together to sponsor laps for the street stocks, a class near and dear to the heart of both Dave and Kim. Doug Helsel of Belding started on the outside of the front row and didn’t look back taking the lead right from the drop of the green flag and held on to lead all 25 laps, picking up the season championship trophy, and all of the lap sponsorship money. The feature however was not without its fair share of intrigue.
The Smokers Club Street Stocks were the next race on the schedule. Multi time feature winner this season Mike VanderMark Jr started the show way back in the field and was fun to watch as he made his way to the front. Doug Helsel started on the front row and was able to jump out to an early lead over the rest of his competitors.
The Smokers Club Street Stocks were up next and racing action was fast and furious. Will Stanley had to work hard to pick up his checkered flag over Dave Grega, J.R. Schmid, Shane Spencer, and Mike VanderMark Jr. Stanley took over the points from VanderMark jr. by only one point, third is J.R. Schmid, fourth to Prochazka, and rounding out the top five is George Wease.
