Looking ahead to the weekend weather, things look slightly on the damp side. You can join our "R Word" list below. I am the first call Ron makes when he decides to cancel. I notify everyone on the 'R Word" list first and then post it here. Long story short, watch this site for the official word on such things.

One last new thing this week. After consulting my physician and talking with Ron, I will not be returning as your lovable webmaster next year. I may have to step down before that but I will do my best. My health is rapidly declining and there isn't anything I can do any more. This website was the very first track website back in 1993 and I have been its only webmaster. I have had help along the road but if you emailed from this site, your email came to me. I made a sincere effort to not only respond to your note quickly but to get you the right answer. I have enjoyed my time here. Thank you.

We will be live streaming the races tonight starting about 7:25 or so and you can watch on your pc HERE while I-Pad users can watch HERE.You can test your device before the races begin by clicking on one of the previous links as we have a 24/7 stream of races from 2014 running.

Some remarkable people from across the nation donated to a "Go Fund Me" campaign started by David Hendrick of Sidney. He set a goal of $1000 and that goal was surpassed in about 18 hours. I am humbled. THANK YOU to all the folks that gave so graciously and abundantly.

Are You Up To Date?? PC users should update their Flash Player at https://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer and their Shock Wave Player at https://get2.adobe.com/shockwave" and occasionally, you need to update your Java at https://www.java.com All are free downloads. If you are using a mobile device, understand that our upload stream can sometimes over power a device's ability to keep up. Make sure your Internet connection will hold the necessary download speed!

And Now, The News...
If all goes as planned, I hope to start a weekly interview with those who work, race, or are somehow connected to CMS. I have two such interviews tentatively set up for today. Who are they? Check back on Monday afternoon!

Weather Or Not!
Watch this site for any changes or cancellations. We will have the latest info. You can join our "R Word" list by sending an email or TEXTING to this email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. There was a modification to the rules concerning transponders. While it was changed in the rules, I failed to post here it here. This rule was modified April 21st, 2015. It says: "18. Transponders must be mounted on the right side and the back of rear axle and in an orange transponder pouch. If your transponder falls off you may not be scored and you will be responsible for replacing the transponder.Any racer caught trying to modify or deliberately changing location of transponder will be disqualified."  Check with your tech inspector if you have questions.

The 2015 rules packages are here: LATE MODEL, IMCA, PRO STOCK, STREET STOCK, and the GENERAL CMS RULES. The 2015 SCHEDULE IS HERE.

You can reach me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as you have been able to reach me since this site started back in 1993. I have or can get you the honest answer far more often than you can get it on FaceBook. You may find this hard to believe but not everything you read on FB is true.

For those that intend to have minors entering the pits, here is the minor release form to have pre-filled out. PLEASE NOTE! "Legal" people say you need to do one of two things. Fill it out and have it notarized or fill it out but don't sign it until you are at the track so track officials can countersign it. Other forms will be posted here shortly.

June 4, 2011

The Kentucky Fried Chicken Late Models found 20 Lates checked in and all 20 of them were on the line up for the 30 lap feature event. After a rough night on Friday night at the Mt Pleasant Speedway which saw the 6R of Carl Ries very torn up it appeared that the Blanchard native had something to prove and prove it he did with a very convincing feature win. Matt Pickard who finished second was all over Ries for the final 10 laps of the race but Ries just hit his marks lap after lap and was able to force Pickard to accept second place. Mickey Carman Jr was able to hold on to third while Mark Andersen finished 4th and Roger Wing came home in the 5th position.

Feature Winner Late Models - Carl Ries, June 4, 2011Heat races went to Mark Andersen and Kyle Borgman.
