In IMCA Modified action and the premier race of the night, Myron DeYoung held off a charging Joey Fowler and Chad Maurer take home the giant trophy and the big money. They were followed by Jimmy Hale, Jr., Brody Bowser, Mike Shanteau, Dan Minikey Jr., Robert Hutson, Rusty Zeigler, and Melvin Allen.

With rain continuing to be a threat and the IMCA modifieds not on the schedule for the Sunday portion of the Labor Day spectacular, the decision was made to roll them out for their 20 lap feature event. It appeared early that the delay and the late hour might have shortened the tempers of a couple of the drivers as three early cautions kept the field tight but cooler heads would eventually prevail.

In the Engine Pro IMCA Modified action it was Myron Deyoung continuing his hot streak over the last couple of months. Myron won in convincing fashion Saturday night holding off Mike Shanteau and Bob Hutson. Between Crystal and Tri City, Saturday nights feature win at crystal was his 7th checkered flag since the beginning of July, making Myron a strong favorite to pick up a win in the upcoming Great Lake Nationals show.
