Twenty six Kentucky Fried Chicken late models checked in for the night and it was Scott Baker who was the class of the field for this night. A Roger Wing spin midway through the 30 lap feature slowed the field for the one and only time on the night, but it made no difference to Baker as he was able to hold off Dean Huizenga and Matt Pickard to win his first checkered flag of the season.Great Lakes Nationals
The Kentucky Fried Chicken sponsored Late Models went green to checker in a 40 lap shootout with Dona Marcoullier besting Rick Stout, Carl Ries, Rob Taylor, Bob Finlay, Roger Wing, Dean Huizenga, Brad Metzer, Ryan VanderVeen, and Matt Pickard.

In Kentucky Fried Chicken Late Model action it would be Bob Finlay picking up the feature over Michigan Motorsports Hall of Famer Roger Wing, Carl Reis, Sam Epling and Jay VanDyke. Justin McNeil started on the pole and would lead the first handful of laps before a mistake in turn three would allow Finlay to sneak by take over the lead. It looked as though lap traffic would be a major player but right as the leaders started to pick up the tail of the field a caution would fly and Finlay would have open track in front of him and would not look back.
