There was a modification to the rules concerning transponders. While it was changed in the rules, I failed to post here it here. This rule was modified April 21st, 2015. It says: "18. Transponders must be mounted on the right side and the back of rear axle and in an orange transponder pouch. If your transponder falls off you may not be scored and you will be responsible for replacing the transponder.Any racer caught trying to modify or deliberately changing location of transponder will be disqualified."  Check with your tech inspector if you have questions.

For those that intend to have minors entering the pits, here is the minor release form to have pre-filled out. PLEASE NOTE! "Legal" people say you need to do one of two things. Fill it out and have it notarized or fill it out but don't sign it until you are at the track so track officials can countersign it. Other forms will be posted here shortly.

Sprints On Dirt April 28, 2012

Twenty nine sprints made their way to Crystal Motor Speedway for the kick off of the 2012 season for the touring classes. The 2012 season will be a big one for Sprints On Dirt (SOD) series. They have three shows scheduled here, including their co-sanctioned show with the NRA coming up on July 21st.

An early caution slowed the feature for the first time when the 10 of Steve Irwin and the 27 of Brad Lambertson spun entering turn three.

Feature Winner SOD Sprints - April 28, 2012

Once the field got going the pole sitter Darren Long led early. The leaders encountered lap traffic and it looked as though Daggett would be able to close the gap. Andy Chehowski brought out the second caution spinning right in front of the leaders Long and Daggett.

Long prevailed over Dagget, leading wire to wire to pick up the checkered flag. Dallman and Horstman finished close behind for second and third.

Four Heats and A Dash

In the first heat, Dustin Daggett took the lead away from Steve Irwin and drove away from the field for his first checked flag of the season.

Greg Dallman and Daren Long see-sawed back and forth for the lead before the 49 of Shawn Dancer hit the wall and brought out the yellow flag. Long held on for the final two laps and was able to drive on to victory lane in the second heat.

It was all Andy Chehowski picking up the heat three win and the final heat went to the Hoosier Rocket, Brett Mann.

Dain Naida was able to pick up the win in the B main and Brad Lambertson took the four car dash.
